Apple Training Center in Kazakhstan: First Course Graduates Present Their Projects

Out of over 400 applicants, 60 students were selected for the Apple Authorized Training Center for Education program in Kazakhstan. 40 of these students successfully completed the Develop in Swift course at no cost, acquiring skills to create iOS mobile applications. Following the course, Astana Hub hosted a Demo Day where the graduates showcased their projects, presenting fully developed applications.

Students spent four months training at a center equipped with modern Apple equipment and essential developer tools as part of the Apple Authorized Training Centre for Education program. The training, led by Smagul Negmatov, a certified Apple Trainer, enabled graduates to master necessary skills and develop their first iOS applications using SnapKit and Alamofire libraries.

“Thanks to Astana Hub, students have learned modern programming languages. Our course was intensive, and over four months, many projects were completed. Most students who encountered the Swift language for the first time were able to master it from scratch. They now have the skills needed to become junior specialists, work on their own projects, or advance to Software Engineer roles. The diverse backgrounds of the graduates, ranging from school leavers to more mature individuals, reflect a strong interest in this industry,” said Smagul Negmatov.

The graduates presented a variety of innovative projects, including Stocks, an app for tracking stock investments; Music Player, a digital service offering access to millions of songs; and Challenger, an app that randomly determines the loser of board games using the Truth or Dare API. Other notable projects included Recipe Finder, which matches recipes by ingredients; Qolda App, which helps schoolchildren find mentors; and Football Insights, an app providing football schedules and results. Additionally, CinemaPhile offers movie streaming; Cardless digitizes plastic cards; AniTrack tracks Web3 with live pricing and coin conversion using the coingecko v3 API and exchangerate API; JU facilitates booking car wash services; and Music Bliss is a Spotify clone replicating core features of the popular music service.

All graduates received official certificates of completion from Astana Hub and the Apple Authorized Training Center. Additionally, several students were recognized with special awards:

  • Best Pitch: Aibek Igizbayev and Alima Kassenkazy
  • Most Disciplined: Nursultan Konspayev
  • Most Significant Progress: Dias Shabarov
  • Greatest Potential: Denis Kononov
  • Most Systematic Approach: Nursultan Kabulov

The graduates plan to further their development in iOS and are moving on to mastering VisionOS. The next training session, “Fundamentals of Development on Vision OS,” will begin soon. Interested participants should have proficiency in Swift.
